New to the festival is the Urban Country Warriors program. The program pulls together people of varying ages and walks of life who possess musical skills but were never able to fulfil their musical goals. It provides a unique opportunity for local musicians to rediscover and hone their musical skills and build confidence to perform publicly.
The focus will be on improving current skills, introducing the use of new technology and developing new skills to produce a better outcome for the individual musician.
Over 5 weeks this group of musicians will be mentored by professional musician and teacher Alan Tompkins and up to 4 bands will be formed. The end result will be an amazing free concert held on Saturday evening in Caboolture Town Square where all 4 bands will perform.
Become an Urban Country Warrior
The Urban Country Warriors program is aimed at musicians who would like to re-engage their musical skills and take them to the next level.
Under the guidance of a professional coach participants will revisit existing skills, hone them to a new level and challenge themselves to learn new skills and styles of presenting and performing music.
It may be that the guitarist is now able to work with new technology that will enhance the sound he creates, or the keyboard player is able to engage more on stage with other members of the band.
All learning will focus on improving current skills, introducing the use of new technology and developing new skills to produce a better outcome for the individual musician.
